From all of us here Rockstar INTEL, we hope that you had a (very) Happy Christmas and want to wish you all the best and a Happy New Year 2020! The 2010s were very big in the world of entertainment and video games, starting with the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Grand Theft Auto V, and the first Red Dead Redemption to ending with Red Dead Redemption 2.
Only three years into the decade, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launched, giving developers much needed access to significantly more powerful hardware. This allowed developers to bring gaming and graphics to never-before-seen heights for console gamers. Rockstar started the current generation with the re-release of Grand Theft Auto V and finished with Red Dead Redemption 2.
It is hard to believe that the decade is over and that we are already looking ahead to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, which are set to release in late 2020. I must say, I am quite excited to see what games developers — in general — are able to do with the new systems when they do launch. If the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were anything to go off of, it will be mind-blowing. Perhaps…Grand Theft Auto VI anyone?
This is the first article I’ve written in a decade, I’m going to go cherish this now. Wishing you all the best and a Happy New Year. (Stay safe everyone!) You can look forward to plenty more content from us.
