In GTA Online this week, there’s an extremely rare license plate up for grabs and here’s how to get it. GTA Online’s current Event Week (running from June 6th through 12th) features a Salvage Yard Robbery complete with a super good deal on a car and rare license plate.
Each week, Rockstar Games rotate the Salvage Yard Robbery missions with three options plus the vehicles you need to grab. We knew for some time that there was a function in the game to claim the vehicle that is part of a Salvage Yard Robbery.
However, Rockstar did not start using it until March. They offered the Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio featuring the Las Venturas plate. Claimable vehicles have been few and far between and there has not been any rare plates to get since the Las Venturas plate one until now.
Salvage Yard Robberies this week
Whilst one job is unlike the others, here’s a quick list all of the available robberies and the cars featured in them this week:
- The McTony Robbery – Pfister Growler
- The Gangbanger Robbery – Dinka Jester RR
- The Podium Robbery – Dinka Blista Kanjo with LS Pounders plate, Claimable
What is the special plate?
Los Santos Pounders/LS Pounders are a football team within the GTA universe. The team’s colours are black, white and yellow. These are represented on the plate itself. This plate has been in the files and remained unused for years. Finally it can be obtained.
How to get the LS Pounders plate
If you do The Podium Robbery, you’ll be able to claim the car part of that job. This is a rare occurrence in GTA Online. Making a car your personal vehicle upon completing a robbery since The Chop Shop released has only happened a few times. Only once before has a plate been on offer too.
The Podium Robbery car this week is the Dinka Blista Kanjo featuring the LS Pounders plate. It usually costs $580,000 from Southern San Andreas Super Autos but doing this robbery means you can make it your personal vehicle for $20,000. This is a significantly reduced fee.
Plus, there is a way to halve the cost further. If you own a Document Forgery office, you’ll pay just $10,000 of GTA cash. The business does not need to be active to unlock the 10k price, just simply purchased.
This is a really good way of receiving the Dinka Blista Kanjo if you don’t own one already. Sure, the car is not super expensive anyway but getting it for as little as $10,000 complete with the LS Pounders license plate is a sweet deal.
There are some points to keep in mind however. Changing the plate design at any point from the Los Santos Pounders design will make you lose that plate option. It will not be selectable again. Also, the Pounders plate cannot be put onto other vehicles but you can apply your own text to the plate on the Dinka Blista Kanjo.

As part of The Chop Shop update, Rockstar did give players new designs in the form of Sprunk and eCola looks. These were received by all players due to the community completing a Community Challenge.
