GTA 6 will not have discs, ever, according to a Rockstar Games sources via a reliable publication. This follows a lot of hysteria and other “leaks” and rumours over the past few days.
As we know, Grand Theft Auto 6 is now launching on November 19th with a disc. The physical copy is a code in a box situation. However, a reliable leaker known as Graczdari told followers earlier this week that we’ll see a disc copy printed and released in December. Rockstar said themselves that the stock of the code in a box version is limited. Some stock has already sold out.
Furthermore, a Rockstar Support email doing the rounds on social media has been viewed as confirmation of such plans by fans. The email says that “Please note that the current pre-order are indeed just for a digital only update you will be able to acquire a physical copy during the following months.” This has been misinterpreted by fans as proof discs are coming. Also, Rockstar Support is known for making mistakes like this and won’t have knowledge of Take-Two’s plans.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rockstar do not have plans for a disc copy of Grand Theft Auto VI. The trusted Hollywood trade say a source close to Rockstar’s plans reveal there are “no plans for Grand Theft Auto VI discs to be printed” at any point. They write that not only at launch but also not month’s after. THR got hold of their information following the viral spread of the Rockstar Support email.
This is a bit of a shock to some considering the previous leaker, Graczdari, and his great track record. The leaker works high up within European video game distribution and has been able to correctly reveal disc based released far in advance. We’ll have to see who has been telling the truth later in the year or early next year.

All they had to do was make the game 60 dollars and have a fucking disc.
