GTA 6 physical copies will reportedly include a disc shortly after launch. That’s according to a reliable physical games media leaker known as Graczdari who works in European video game distribution.
Rockstar Games shocked the world yesterday by announcing that GTA VI’s physical version will not include a disc. It will be a code in a box. Players will be able to pick up the game case several days before the official release date to preload the game however many fans are upset they won’t even be a disc inside. That is apparently going to be short lived.
Leaker Graczdari via PPE.pl says that there will be a disc version of Grand Theft Auto VI out in December. Additionally, the initial batch of copies made will be code in a box versions of GTA VI. After that it will be disc-based.
This suggests that once these code in a box copies of GTA VI sell out (and they already have begun to do so) that’s it. You won’t be able to order it anymore before the game comes out. This is quite a unique situation but we’ll have to see if Rockstar are prepared to make more copies of this version.
UPDATE @ 2pm BST: Rockstar’s own webpage for the pre-order says that the code in a box is available “while supplies last”.

“Generally speaking, the release with the code will be a one-shot, and the option for a disc release will follow.”
Graczdari, translated from polish
All the way back in January, renowned physical games copy leaker Graczdari reported that Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch discless. This is to prevent leaks. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick actually responded to these claims saying that there would be a physical component at launch. That was true, from a certain point of view. Ultimately we will be getting a physical case without a disc at launch. Graczdari was technically not 100% wrong in the initial reporting.
