Several locations that are part of GTA 6‘s open world are being recreated in various games by fans. The map of Leonida is going to be a playground of crime and chaos when the game releases in May 2026.
However, some fans just can’t wait to experience certain areas so they’re taking matters into their own hands. Not only are these recreations incredibly well done and stunningly accurate compared to the trailers, but you are able to download and play them in games such as Fortnite.
An Unlikely Source Of Creativity
To many people’s surprise, Far Cry 5 has been the fantastic tool of choice by one Reddit user named Fresh-War5908. Ubisoft’s 2018 open world game has a map editing tool called Far Cry Arcade. It allows anyone to use the assets found in the game (along with other Ubisoft titles) to create brand new singleplayer or multiplayer content.
Firstly, the GTA fan painstakingly spend around 200 hours recreating Jason’s house as seen in GTA VI Trailer 2. From grass placement to every prop found in the interior, really captures the look and feel.
Below are comparisons of shots from GTA 6 Trailer 2 and the Far Cry 5 map. Some people even have confused the two. Some fans have thought this is a modded version of Far Cry 5 on PC but in reality it is running on PS5 without mods. The top images are from Far Cry 5 whereas the bottom ones were screenshots from the most recent GTA 6 trailer. Click on the images to view in full resolution.

It did not stop there. The surrounding area was also recreated in Far Cry 5. It was not just limited to a single house. Additional houses seen in other shots from the second trailer and the street were copied. NPCs and animals are also present. There’s even a secret enemy.

The best part is this is completely playable by anyone, free of charge, as long as you have a copy of Far Cry 5. To visit Jason’s house before GTA 6 comes out, search for “GTA6 Jasons House” in Far Cry Arcade. To go alongside its release, Fresh-War5908 shared a trailer showing them driving into Jason’s parking spot and taking a look around the house.
Another Location
That is not all. Fresh-War5908 has since undertook the task of recreating Ocean Drive. This is proving to be a more difficult task for the Redditor. There are far more, larger buildings to work on. That said, 13 of the 25 buildings have been completed and even the atmosphere and colour has been accurately transferred over to Ubisoft’s open world game. You can find side by side comparisons below.

GTA Comes To Fortnite Again
In the past, we’ve reported how some Fornite players have recreated various GTA locations within Fortnite thanks to its powerful UEFN creator tools. These have ranged from Michael’s House in GTA V to the whole of Grove Street as it was seen in GTA San Andreas.

As the toolset has evolved, more advanced creations have been crafted. Two Reddit users, Warm_Water_6792 and ComfortableIron1736 have remade Jason’s house within Fortnite. These two creatives not only made use of the second trailer to make this but delved into the infamous 2022 gameplay leaks to assist with their work.

Much like the Far Cry 5 map, anyone is able to view and play this map. Simply search the map code: 6954-3373-7481 and you can jump in and explore. You can also view a trailer made by the duo here.
