GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition is an upcoming mod for PC that is set to release on January 25th 2025. The mod will allow players to explore Vice City in Grand Theft Auto IV, along with playing all the original missions. The mod will also feature the original cars, music, cutscenes, collectibles and much more.
What’s coming with the mod
The mod, which has been created by the Revolution Team, has been built from the ground up, with everything recreated and rewritten from scratch to make this Vice City mod work as smooth as possible. It is a modification based on the RAGE engine from Grand Theft Auto IV.
All the visual and lighting effects have been updates to look much cleaner and better, whilst other assets have been taken from past Rockstar titles and updates. The buildings and weapon models have been taken from Grand Theft Auto Vice City – The Definitive Edition, whilst all the neon lighting has been taken from GTA Vice City Stories and upgraded.
The Character animations are similar to the animations from Grand Theft Auto IV, and the Character and vehicle models are from the Xbox version of Vice City. Select vehicles from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas have also managed to be ported into the mod.

The mod, is also porting along all Story Missions, which have been rewritten by the Revolution Team from scratch. All event missions at the Hyman Memorial Stadium are being added along with the Street Racing missions at Sunshine Autos.

New Trailer
Take-Two Interactive recently removed the trailer off YouTube. We have linked the trailer above which will take you to a Twitter post
A 30 second trailer of the mod was recently released by the team, which you can watch above. Showing how improved Vice City actually looks. Below, you can also view the screenshots that have been released. Fingers crossed Take-Two Interactive dont take down this mod as quickly as they took down the most recent Liberty City in GTAV mod. The Revolution Team are based in Russia, and they dont give a **** about copyright laws, so many this mod is here to stay.

The mod will be free for all players on release. You will need a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV to download and install the mod.

Place of bets, hos long is it gonna take until Take Two and Rockstar tell the mod creators to shut it all down? With this coverage, not very long, because Rockstar & Take Two hates the GTA mod fanbase and will do whatever it takes to take something down. And no, FiveM doesn’t count, they bought the team.
Place of bets. How long will it take until Rockstar forces then to stop the mod’s development?? Not very long judging from how much it’s being covered. They don’t care about the community, or the mods that the community made. And no, FiveM does does not count, they only bought the team.
