Sam Houser was going to delay the announcement about the Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer being released in early December due to Jason Schreier leaking it according to a trusted insider.
Back in early November, the 8th November 2023 to be exact, Rockstar Games finally revealed to the world that a trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto Title, known as Grand Theft Auto VI will be getting released in December in a post about Rockstar Games turning 25 years old.
In a post on GTA Forums where people were discussing about a GTA VI second Trailer. Tez2, a trusted source within the Rockstar community replied to a user about who has the final say on when a Videogame is finished and ready to go live.
Tez2 replied to the user saying Sam Houser has the final say unless its to do with QA, then its down to a whole bunch of people. Then elaborated that at the end , its all down to Sam Houser (Rockstar Games President and Co Founder) and how he was visiting every Rockstar Games studio in October 2023 with other higher ups to check on the progress on Grand Theft Auto VI, which is what started some rumours.
Another long serving member of GTA Forums called I WAS WRONG replied to Tez2 pointing out that GTA 6 will be the first title where Sam Houser wont have any pushbacks for the game and goes ahead with his vision unchecked, due to Leslie Benzies and Dan Houser both leaving in 2016 and in 2020, and then saying that if Sam Houser had unlimited power in 2004 then we would have been filling up Gas Tanks on our vehicles in GTA San Andreas.
GTA6 Announcement almost delayed
In the same forum post, Tez2 said that other higherups at Rockstar, such as Aaron Garbut (head of development), Rob Nelson (Co Studio Head),and Jennifer Kolbe (Studio Director) still keep Sam Houser in check and influence decision making. Then saying that Tez remembers Sam wanted to delay the November GTA 6 Trailer announcement by a week just to screw with Jason Schreier due to him leaking it but they talked Sam out of doing it.
Jason Schreier revealed the announcement of the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer just a few hours before Rockstar Games were going to reveal it. Although a lot of rumours were circulating on Twitter before Jason announced it.
