Rockstar Responds To GTA Online Heist Payout Reduction Backlash

Rockstar Games have responded to the widespread outrage from GTA Online players in the past couple of days and it’s good news. Fans are angered over stealth nerfs made to many of the heists in the game.

The company adjusted many cash values as part of the GTA Online The Kortz Center Heist update on Thursday which we reported on here. They later publicly revealed that a weekly completion bonus was added to a variety of the heists to try and soften the blow. However, even with the bonus the Cayo Perico Heist was especially made to be far less lucrative when used to make lots of money.

Many fans took to social media to express their anger other these tweaks in hope that Rockstar reconsiders the changes. Whilst many fans did not have any hope of a reversal, Rockstar have actually decided to take a second look. Rockstar are indeed listening to player feedback.

As spotted by GTA community member @PLTytus, Rockstar have gone back and made unannounced changes to The Doomsday Heist. The payouts are still lower than before The Kortz Center Heist update released. However, the first time you do it in a week will earn more than pre-update.

GTA Online players are still demanding buffs to Cayo Perico, Diamond Casino and Kortz Center heists but so far the change made to The Doomsday Heist is a step in the right direction. Rockstar are indeed listening to player feedback. It will be interesting to see if any more changes are made in the coming days or weeks.
