The Red Dead Redemption Remaster logo has been added to Rockstar Games’ website. This comes after weeks of speculation and rumours pointing towards a remaster of the classic western.
We previously reported on Red Dead Redemption getting a new age rating back in June. This began many fans speculating about a possible new version of the game coming in the near future as the Korean Ratings Board tend to leak games this way.
Furthermore, former IGN Editor Colin Moriarty in a patreon episode of this Sacred Symbols podcast, claims the Red Dead Redemption remaster is real. The host stated “I have seen confirmation that this is real…I had someone reach out to me behind the scenes that showed me something that definitively shows this game is coming.”
To add even more to it, he claims the remaster will be unveiled soon perhaps in August: “Maybe even imminently with an announcement, maybe in August.”
The smoking gun?
On Thursday, credible community leaker Tez2 tweeted Rockstar had issued a website update around 3PM BST. This is the same time the GTA Online Event Week article dropped. We noticed Rockstar’s website had some errors for a few minutes which is highly unusual.
Tez says a new game was referenced in the list of games on the site. The game in question is titled “Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar Presents Ver)”.
It also has a codename of RDR1RSP. This potentially means Red Dead Redemption 1 Rockstar Games Presents.
He also shared this logo which was added to the website as part of the update. This almost identical to the original logo.
We could see an official reveal by Rockstar Games in the coming days and weeks.
It’s no surprise Rockstar and Take-Two want more fans to play RDR1 as many people are buying Red Dead 2 in 2023. This comes after RDR2 has more than double the sales of the first game.
