Rockstar Games have put Red Dead Redemption up for pre-order on PC over 14 years after it originally released. The company announced the port on Wednesday and told fans to sit tight for more information. The time has now come.
In terms of price, it comes in at the same cost as the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions did last year. It will retail at $49.99, £39.99, €39.99.
Unlike previous recent PC releases from Rockstar, it will launch simultaneously across three storefronts: The Rockstar Store for Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, and the Epic Games Store all on October 29th. The Epic Games Store version will give you 5% back in Epic Rewards.
It can be pre-ordered on all three platforms and the price is the same on all of them. The Rockstar Games Launcher will still be required even if you buy the game via Epic or Steam.
Pre-loading information has not been shared yet. It is possible there might not be a pre-load phase. We do know the download size is around 12GB, similar to the PS4 version.
If you’d like to learn what PC specific features will be part of this release or what the minimum and recommended specs are, you can find all of that information here. We also have every screenshot of this re-release so far here.
Rockstar have also revealed to celebrate this release, they have brought back a pair of classic items from the original Red Dead Redemption Frontier Collection: the Playing Cards and Liar’s Dice. These can be ordered on the Rockstar Store.
