A new month’s worth of chart data is in from PlayStation and other sources. Red Dead Redemption 2 has continued to dominate downloads whilst GTA V has seen some changes following the mansions update. Let’s take a look at how it things went for Rockstar Games across November and December.
GTA V Downloads Spike
PlayStation shared their monthly game charts this week for PS5, PS4, PSVR and F2P game downloads throughout November and December. There are some interesting differences across the charts.
In November, GTA V was the 6th most downloaded PS5 game in Europe and 8th in the North American chart. Meanwhile in December the game jumped to be the 3rd and 5th most downloaded game. That is all thanks to the A Safehouse in the Hills update.
As for the PS4 version, it ended November in 5th position for the USA/Canada chart but 6th in Europe. In December it jumped to 2nd in the North American chart and 4th in Europe.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Still On Top

Red Dead Redemption 2 ended the year in style. It remained the most downloaded PS4 game in the US/Canada in November and December. This is 10 months out of 12 it achieved such a feat in the NA chart. As for the European chart it also was in first place in both November and December; much like the majority of the year.
The original Red Dead Redemption re-entered the charts too. At the start of December, it got a native PS5 port however it did not appear in the top 20 most downloaded PS5 or PS4 games that month. It actually was the 6th most downloaded PS4 game in November in the US/Canada chart. It was 19th in Europe.
GTA V Clears Up Again
GTA V was the 3rd most played game by active users on PlayStation in the US last year. This is the same as 2024 via Circana. Only Fortnite and Call of Duty beat it.
Wondered how much GTA Online is played on Christmas Day? Circana revealed GTA V/GTA Online has been the 3rd most played game by users every Christmas Day from 2022 to 2025 on both Xbox and PlayStation.
