Rockstar’s newest blockbuster, Red Dead Redemption 2 contains yet another UFO.
Following the UFO Easter Egg on Mount Chiliad in 2013’s Grand Theft Auto 5, it has been discovered that Rockstar has done it again, only this time in the latest Red Dead. As has been reported by VG247 and Screenrant, the first step in solving this alien themed Easter Egg is to open your map and look for Emerald Ranch, then go easy of Heartland Overflow. Then look at New Hanover. Between the ‘N’ and ‘O’ of “Hanover,” zoom in and you should be able to spot a shack by a pond. At this point, place a waypoint marker down on it and then head to it.
“AT THE SECOND HOUR UNDER THE HALF MOON, BY THE GREAT LOVE AND GRACE OF OUR SAVIOR, KUHKOWABA, VOYAGER OF TIME AND GALAXIES. WE CAST OFF OUR MORTAL SHELLS SO HIS VESSEL CAN TAKE OUR SPIRITS TO THE PROMISED REALM, TO LIVE IN PEACE AND POWER UNTIL THE TWO THOUSANDTH YEAR, WHEN WE WILL RETURN FOR A NEW CHOSEN AND WORSHIP ONCE AGAIN AT THE PEAK OF MOUNT SHANN. IN HIS LOVE, WE REJOICE ALWAYS.”
Once you arrive at the shack, you will find trinkets such as a Cigarette Card Set, numerous dead cultists, and, more importantly, a note by the fireplace. The next stop on this rollercoaster of an Easter Egg is to head over to Mount Shann, which is located North West of Strawberry, under the big ‘S’ of West Elizabeth. Ride – or walk, if that’s your thing – up to the mountain’s summit and you should find a rock circle. Once you “traipse” around it, it’s time to head back to Hani’s Bethel once again, though it is important to ensure that it is nighttime once again before you head into the shack. This can be accomplished by camping nearby to pass the time.

If these instructions have been followed in order correctly, the shack should burst into a green glow. Once this happens, rush outside and you should be able to catch a glimpse of the UFO before it zooms off.
ScreenRant has produced a slightly different set of instructions, which tell the player that it is possible to just wait until 2am (“half moon”) in-game time at the cabin, without having gone to Mount Shann first, for the green glow and UFO glimpse. In their guide, they mentioned that there appears to be a second UFO which can be spotted at the aforementioned summit of Mount Shann during the “nighttime.”
At this point in time, both are worth a shot as the mystery is just that – a mystery.
