Red Dead Redemption 2 is making a mighty return to PlayStation Plus after an extended period away from the service.
PlayStation announced on Wednesday the list of games that will be coming to their subscription service later this month. There are many titles coming to the various PlayStation Plus tiers this month. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws are the headliners.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online have come and gone from PS+ a few times but they are back later this month for gamers who are part of an eligible tier. Previously, Sony and Rockstar teamed up to bring Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online into PS+ in May 2024. This means it has been 18 months since it was last part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
When Will Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online Join PlayStation Plus?

Both Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online are coming to subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on May 19th. What this entails is if you do not own the game digitally or physically and you are signed up to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, you get the full game to download.
You can play this game without restrictions until PlayStation/Rockstar remove it from PS+ or when your membership expires. This is typically 6 months based on the past few times it has been in the service. PlayStation Plus Essential Members will not get access at all however.
Despite Rockstar Games yet to release a native PS5 version, the game has remained the most downloaded PS4 native game every single month for almost a year now. The inclusion in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog will no doubt secure Red Dead Redemption’s place on top of the charts that will be revealed next month.
