There are currently a very limited amount of mods out for Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC version, but – although it came out yesterday – there are some for you to download and use right now in singleplayer. Bear in mind that installing mods may result in corrupted files or more bugs, so download and install them at your own discretion.
Thanks to mods site RDR2Mods.com, there are quite a few RDR2 PC mods now hosted on the front page – including our first character model mod (well, the head at least).
Joker
That’s right – you can add makeup onto Arthur Morgan to give him the classic look of the Joker from this year’s film. You can download the mod from RDR2Mods here.
UPDATE: Reports say that this mod is not able to be installed onto players’ games.
Photorealistic Reshading
With this mod, you can get a reshade of the game’s current colours, shadows, and sharpness. According to the developer, it adds a more photorealistic effect to the graphics. You can download it here.
There is an alternative reshade mod that can be downloaded here.
If you’ve already played the story mode and just want to jump into your favourite chapter, then these mods allow you to jump straight to whichever chapter you want.
You can skip the intro to the game with this downloadable mod here.
You can skip to Chapter 2 with this downloadable mod here.
You can skip to Chapter 3 with this downloadable mod here.
So far, these are the only mods currently available for Red Dead Redemption 2, but as the week passes, more are expected to release.
As for an online mod, the creators of FiveM have announced that they are working on an alternative for RDR2 titled RedM.
