More political figures have Rockstar Games in their sights in wake of the alleged union busting scandal. This follows Rockstar’s decision to fire over 30 GTA 6 developers in October over “gross misconduct”. This has been disputed by the union who are calling it the “most ruthless act” of union busting.
According to STV, Councillor Dan Heap of the Scottish Green Party and part of the City of Edinburgh council has tabled a motion to have the matter discussed and actions taken to help those affected.
The motion is to be at the Fair Work Committee and is set to take place next week. It is said the council will be asked to write a letter “expressing concern” to Rockstar Games and a request of reinstatement.

The report goes onto say that the motion will look to ask the City of Edinburgh council to support the fired employees. Plus, provide financial support to the workers and inform the them of their welfare rights. We’ll have to see what happens after this.
The Storm Won’t Let Up
This follows a protest that saw former Rockstar staff and many other people march from outside Rockstar North to Scottish Parliament. This followed a protest outside of Take-Two’s London and Paris (pictured above) offices on Friday.
This story is not going away any time soon. Scottish National Party MP for Dundee Central Chris Law tabled a motion for the Staff at Rockstar Games last week. This follows the situation being brought up by another MP in previous weeks. It could continue to gain momentum from within the UK government which could lead to some big ramifications.
