The physical release of next gen GTA V on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 has been given a release date by Rockstar Games. This has led to pre-orders going live on various online retailers giving us the cover art and cost.

Rockstar Games confirm the disc version of GTA V for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles will release on April 12th 2022 in stores and online. The Rockstar store gives the recommended retail price of $39.99 and £34.99. The disc will contain both the Grand Theft Auto V Story Mode and GTA Online in one package.
Updated Cover Art
As seen on the Best Buy product listing, we now have images of the updated cover art for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. Sporting a gold outline, the new cover art received this subtle change for the next gen release for digital and physical.

GTA V on next gen is over to a successful start for Rockstar Games. It outsold Elden Ring in the UK for the first week as we reported here. The overall community consensus is that despite the next gen upgrade not being dramatically different, the quality of life improvements has made GTA V and GTA Online much better.
