A new Red Dead Redemption re-release has been put out Rockstar Games. The classic western from 2010 is now available on modern consoles and new, mobile devices. We have all of the details you need to know from pricing to download sizes and new features.
Release Details
On Tuesday December 2nd, the latest version of Red Dead Redemption can be purchased digitally on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. It can be accessed on iOS and Android if you sign into the app with an active Netflix membership.
This version is also part of the GTA+ library on Xbox and PlayStation. The game is also part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for PS4 and PS5 users.
Free Upgrade And Saves
All owners of the digital PS4, Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions get a free upgrade to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Xbox 360 copy owners do not.
You can only transfer saves from the PS4 and Switch versions to the latest console part of that family. Xbox 360 saves cannot be brought into the new Xbox Series X|S version.

Trophies And Achievements
It is also worth noting this new version features a new, separate trophy/achievement list to previous releases. Whilst all of the trophies and achievements are identical, you can earn them again including the platinum trophy even if you have got them on the prior versions.
When you move your save over, all of the achievements unlocked on that save should come through the new version too. However, a few people are reporting needing to do one action required for the unlock e.g. one headshot unlocks the headshot achievement.
Pricing
The game is on a 50% for 2 weeks on Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms across all regions. The game costs $49.99 or £49.99 without the discount. The promotional price is $24.99 and £24.99.
