Rockstar Games have just released a new update for Red Dead Redemption on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This small update includes a couple of fixes a couple months on from the native current gen port’s launch.
Whilst the mobile port has received a couple of updates in the past month or so, the current and consoles have not had patches since launch. That has now changed.
Patch Notes
Rockstar Games published the official patch notes to their support website. However, they were extremely vague and it has taken community members to actually deliver details on what’s included in this patch. You can find the on helpful patch notes from Rockstar below:

- General bug fixes and improvements
Interestingly, they list the update for the PC version of the game yet no update was made to that port. Let’s now take a look at what we do now was included in the update.
Better Patch Notes

First spotted on reddit by user InspiredNitemares, this update dropped on Tuesday with the version number 1.002. According to other Reddit users, the update has fixed a few different audio problems. These include the loud music playing during cutscenes such as the intro and music now plays when on the game selection screen. These problems had annoyed players given last gen versions did not suffer from them.
