New Red Dead Online Update Removes Player Created Content Features

Rockstar Games have just removed the ability to view certain types of content for Red Dead Redemption 2’s Red Dead Online mode. Even though Rockstar have not released any major content in years, they are still doing basic maintenance and changes on how they look after the community.

First spotted by community member PLTytus, Rockstar shared a new article on the support website announcing the removals. Starting today, December 12th, various types of content created by players will be unavailable on the Red Dead Online Social Feed. You can view the full list of content that won’t show up on the Red Dead Online Social Feed below:

End of support for user-generated content in Red Dead Online Social Feed

As of December 12, 2024, user-generated content is no longer featured on the Red Dead Online Social Feed. This includes the following:

    • Posts related to user-generated content
    • Friend activity
    • Crew activity
    • Story Mode accomplishments, challenges, and milestones
    • Online accomplishments, challenges, and milestones
    • Post and wall interactions

Players will still see Rockstar Games posts and notifications.

We don’t know the reason behind this change. This will no doubt worry die-hard fans of Red Dead Online though. Hopefully this is more of a technically reason or just the fact it sees very little usage anymore and not a foreshadowing of how Rockstar Games will look after Red Dead Online. The game, at least Red Dead Redemption 2, continues to be one of the most downloaded PS4 games every month.

    Other Red Dead Online happenings

The current Red Dead Online event month is on until the start of the new year. You can find out everything that’s live in the game here. This month’s event content is festive themed of course. Are you still playing Red Dead Online? Let us know down in the comments section below.

My name is Kyle huge big time gamer for GTA online and red dead redemption 2 and online me all honesty rockstar isn’t granting what we the players want for these games specifically for GTA 5 online and RDR online and more DLC if rockstar can give the players more DLC for GTA online why can’t they do it for RDR online too?
