Amazon may have just revealed new details on GTA 6 before Rockstar Games. Or have they? We’ll be clearing up a situation that back emerging on Friday.
Fans spotted quite a different product description for the game on the Amazon Brazil store page. This is not the description sent out by Rockstar to all of the retailers and used on their store.
Whilst social media has been set ablaze with people dissecting every single word found in the description, almost all of it is stuff we knew already. The usefulness of this description is heavily overstated when translated to English. Whilst it has been translated, if gives off AI vibes compared to the crafted description by Rockstar.
For example, it lists “a more vibrant world”, “next generation graphics” and a “larger map” like those were not obvious already. Additionally, it talks about two playable protagonists which was already confirmed by Rockstar for Grand Theft Auto 6.
The only thing that we’d say is something worth talking about is the “integrated social networks”. You will be able to “watch viral videos, follow influencers and discover world events through your in-game mobile phone”. It’s what we expected, if this description is accurate. Although we can’t be too sure on it’s validity right now.
That said, GTA V had “integrated social networks” to an extent. Of course GTA VI is going to have social media being a far more important mechanic this time around.
This description is also visible on another Brazilian retailer’s website, KaBum. That site also has a more elaborate description which, again, feels AI generated. Their description contains messaging about “unprecedented dynamic weather”. Also, side missions can be found through the social networks. For now, we’ll have to take this with a grain of salt even though the Amazon listing is the official one for the game.
