A bunch of new GTA 6 details and gameplay examples have been published. These come from an interview with Rockstar Games’ Head of Development and Co-Studio Head Rob Nelson conducted by IGN.
The publication were given a chance to see the game played by Nelson and ask him questions as he played through part of the game. This is an extended interview from the one we had previously with even more information. Let’s take a look at what’s new!
Unplanned Encounter
During the gameplay demo, an unplanned encounter between Lucia and man in a dumpster takes place. You have multiple options: give the man in the dumpster pills, or choose not to. Come back later he gives you legal advice. Then you can get in the dumpster with him.
Naked Jason
Right after the dumpster encounter, Nelson switches to play as Jason who is naked in the shower. That’s showers with nudity confirmed.
You Can Text And Call Lucia/Jason, Helps Communication
Communication between our protagonists goes further than ever before. Nelson reveals you can text and call Jason or Lucia whenever you play as the other. An example Nelson showed IGN is Lucia texting Jason ‘Sweet, I’ll come to you’ as a response to Jason messaging her.
Another example is how a text exchange (or lack of) can affect their relationship. You are free to spend all day apart but the other one may text you saying ‘Hey, I’m going to go to bed to lock up, you OK?’ You can respond with something like ‘I’ll see you later,’ or, ‘Ok, goodnight,’ and that’s fine. Ignore and it’ll hurt your connection a small amount. In terms of social media, you’ll be able to follow accounts, look at posts but you won’t be able to share what you’re up to as Jason or Lucia.
In other GTA VI news, a Discord campaign with Rockstar has been leaked. Check it out here.
