Hot off the announcement of their own GTA Online FiveM server, GTA Series have revealed brand new details about it. Known for high quality YouTube content, GTA Series Videos, are launching their very own FiveM server on Sunday 19th November. It is not just another GTA RP server you’ve seen before either.
We previously reported on its announcement here. Now ahead of its launch date this week, the teams behind this project have begun sharing some additional details on what to expect from the server.
Release date delayed
At the last minute, GTA Series have decided to delay the release of their server. This delay is indefinite for the time being and GTA Series explained why:
UPDATE: Unfortunately, the issues encountered are broader and more complex than anticipated, which forces us to regrettably cancel the release for November 19th.
A new release date and more details about the GTA Series Arcade FiveM PC Server will be announced once all the issues have been resolved, and thorough testing has been conducted to ensure the seamless functionality of every component within this intricate framework.
GTA Series
We wish the teams behind the new server the best of luck in fixing the issues they are facing. The server needs to be ready for the many fans expected to flock to it on release.
The Server Hub
In the announcement trailer we got a glimpse of the operational Server Hub. GTA Series has now gone into detail on how it works. Set on a tropical island, distant from San Andreas, this is the beginning to your new adventure.
The team say upon landing here NPCs and other players will make you feel at home. You will be able to show off your vehicles on the stage or podium The TVs we see will show videos that has been created by the GTA Series team. Given the standards of GTA Series, you can expect to view fantastic content. You can also pay to be featured on their if you are not handpicked.
Another major thing spotted in the announcement trailer was the portals that take players to the various activities: Gamemodes, Vortex Races, Free Mode in San Andreas/Cayo Perico and the Obstacle Challenge. The challenge is a weekly event which includes its own leader board.
Game modes and maps
Titled GTA Series Arcade, this server’s core is custom games. According to GTA Series, there will be 20 game modes to play on day one. Below is the complete list of maps and modes at release:
- Avalanche – Landslide
- Bomb Pass – Meadow Park, Medieval Castle, Temple Fort, Wild Trenches
- Bomberman – Flimsy Fort
- Busted – La Puerta, LSIA, Vespucci Beach
- Color Dash – Disco
- Dropshot – Roman Ruins
- Fallout – Crossroads, Delirium, Mosaic, Waveform
- Field Goal – Homestretch
- Gambit Survival – Stunt Park
- Gambit Race – Stunt Park
- Hopper – Jumpyard
- Infected – Lost Desert
- Prop Hunt – Boneyard, Del Perro Pier, La Fuente Blanca, Paleto Bay, Sawmill, The Lost MC Camp, Smuggling Dock
- QUB3D – Cube
- Speed Rush – Ring, Sandbox, Super Bowl
- Sumo Pit – Funnel
- Survival Run – Egypt
- Survive the Tank – Ring, Medieval Castle
- Tile Breaker – Bouncy Castle
- Tag – Block Fort
In the original server announcement GTA Series said they have collaborated with TheIvaneh Community Server Development team to create this project. Players who have experienced the TheIvaneh Community Server before may note some similarities.
GTA Series stress that every part of these have been redone to be greatly improved. The team say all of these maps and modes “will feel new, exciting, and refreshing to play on GTA Series Arcade with rebuilt maps and significant gameplay changes inspired by player feedback.”
Free Mode
Similar to the vanilla version of GTA Online, you’ll be able to visit and live in San Andreas. Purchase items you know and love from vehicles, properties, clothes, accessories and weapons.
There are some new features though. You’ll be able to rename Properties which is a nice quality of life improvement. These buildings let you keep your vehicles. Raising your Player Level will unlock additional cars; to rank up compete in any Vortex Race or Game Mode. The teams behind this server have also developed faster navigation for the Showroom and Vehicle Customization menus.
This also extends to Cayo Perico. There will be a portal at the Server Hub to take you to either SA or El Rubio’s tropical paradise. There will be Fast Travel to anywhere in Cayo Perico or San Andreas. You can even take part in a Cargo Plane Drop. Parachute anywhere by exiting the hold of the largest aircraft in the game.
Vortex Races
Vortex Races are a key pillar of GTA Series Arcade. In a Tweet, GTA Series explain these stunt races have been crafted with over one hundred custom track pieces. These are designed to offer unique layouts with exceptional twists and turns. If you want to make your own race track, you can do just that with the server’s content creator!
Obstacle Challenge
Another discipline found in GTA Series Arcade is Obstacle Challenge. Much like the others, it is access via a portal in the Server Hub.
These tracks are set to be a big challenge for all players with many twists and turns. You can take part in this challenge with other players in real-time but everyone will be ghosted so no griefing.
There will be a global leaderboard that features the top 10 fastest times each week as the course is refreshed every 7 days.
Customisation
In yet another insightful post, GTA Series have revealed how customisation will be handled in their server. When you enter GTA Series Arcade for the first time you’ll be put into the character customizer crafted to make whoever you want in this new realm.
To start with, you’ll be able to create how your character face and other physical features will look like. On top of that, each piece of clothing is an individual item. Inside Free Mode you can head to the clothing stores and pick up new threads and more.
Another thing to get started is the Welcome Bundle. This is the first pack announced for this server however more will be on offer in the GTA Series Arcade Store. This pack includes several items including the Coil Savanna Custom. GTA Series say this “specially modified widebody car” will be exclusive to purchases of the Welcome Bundle. You will also be granted:
- 1 Custom License Plate,
- an Instant XP Boost to Player Level 20,
- Chat Emojis,
- a Personal Vehicle Storage Upgrade to 75 Slots.
