Following this week’s development update from Remedy on the Max Payne Remake, a fan has spotted an interesting release date note on the game company’s own website.
We reported on Remedy’s latest progress report on the Rockstar Games-funded remakes this week. They told investors the double pack of remakes are making “steady progress” after over half a year in the full production stage. Plus the said that “development progress is heading towards key development objectives together with the game’s publisher Rockstar Games.“
After this update, a fan on Reddit called u/Sepehrman spotted an interesting presentation on Remedy’s own website in the investors page in a sub-section called Analyst reports. A report titled “Remedy extensive report: No game, no fame” was published on December 18th 2024 by Inderes. Inside we can read some interesting predictions.
An important note on this Analyst reports section from Remedy reads “The following analysts, brokerage houses and investment companies monitor Remedy as an investment target. Remedy is not responsible for their evaluations or recommendations regarding the company.” This means Remedy does not confirm nor deny anything from the analysts.

Educated Guesses
For example, the estimated budget is around $60 million euros. This is a “rough estimate of the production budgets and profit splits.” It also lists Remedy’s cost for this game as 0% as we know Rockstar Games are funding the whole project. Remedy’s share of the revenue is reportedly 10-30%. Again, this is a rough estimate by Inderes. The full amount Rockstar spent on the project must be recouped before Remedy begins to earn royalties.
Now for the release window expectancy. Inderes estimate the Max Payne 1&2 Remake will release in the first half of 2026 so January through June. They also think Remedy will release Control 2 in the same time frame. This could change in time and one might move out of the way for another.
Based on Remedy’s public game development template for all their games, it can take up to 2 and a half years in full production and testing. The game entered full production between April and June 2024. If you add the full 2.5 years on, that would be a late 2026 release. Inderes seems to think it will be earlier.
