Fan favourite GTA V graphics mod, NaturalVision Evolved, has gained significant changes. The mod makes GTA V look realistic compared to how it is when NVE isn’t being used. 2024 has seen the mod get major upgrades in January, April, July and August. This is far more than the previous year.
The Razed who leads development team behind the mod shared a new post on Patreon detailing the Fall 2024 update and published a trailer alongside it. This way fans can take a proper look at the updates’s new features.
Fall Update Features
Cloud changes
A new volumetric cloud system is here. Not only are the clouds looking better but there are shadows from the clouds and godrays from the sun. Some fixes have also been implemented. Click on either of the images to view at a higher resolution.
Road improvements
This packed update introduces road improvements to Cypress Flats. The area now sports all new parallax road textures. The increase in detail and depth is obvious.
Reflection improvements
Reflections have been added to all surfaces in the game. You also have the ability to toggle reflections on or off from the NVE Reshade menu. There is also options to change resolution of the reflections. The team note reflections will be improved in future updates. You can see a side-by-side comparison below.
Gas Station Changes
Platinum Supporters who use the Extra Content Pack will see a reworked look of the LTD Gas Stations found across the map. Changes have been made to the textures, props and lighting.
Shadow improvements
This update increases the resolution of spotlight shadow maps. This makes big changes in the finer details. Much like the reflections, you can change the resolution.
New Hedges
Hedges in and about La Puerta have been reworked. This is part of the optional Extra Vegetation pack.
Glass improvement
Over a hundred vehicles have gained a brand new glass normal map shader. This gives things like rear and headlight glass a much more realistic look to them.
Sound additions
Brand new sounds have been added to the game. These sounds are focused on sirens for emergency vehicles and tire skids. This is an optional add-on.
