Despite yet another sizable delay to GTA 6, Rockstar Games are seemingly putting GTA V and GTA Online back in PlayStation Plus within weeks.
On Friday, reputable leaker BillBil-Kun reported on Dealabs that GTA V will be part of the list of games that will be coming to the Sony subscription service later this month. PlayStation will apparently officially confirm this news on Wednesday November 12th.
GTA V has come and gone from PS+ a few times but it should be back later this month for gamers who are part of an eligible tier. Previously, Sony and Rockstar teamed up to bring GTA V into PS+ last December and the December before that.
When Will GTA V And GTA Online Join PlayStation Plus?
Both GTA V Story Mode and GTA Online are said to be come to subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on November 18th according to BillBil-Kun. What this entails is if you do not own the game digitally or physically and you are signed up to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, you get the full game to download.
You can play this game without restrictions until PlayStation/Rockstar remove it from PS+ or when your membership expires. This is typically 6 months based on the past few times it has been in the service. PlayStation Plus Essential Members will not get access at all however.
The addition of GTA V and GTA Online in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog comes a few weeks ahead of the big December update featuring mansions. If you don’t own GTA V on PS5 digitally and want to check out GTA with its next gen features, this is a great time to do so with PlayStation+. This move comes after Rockstar added GTA Online to GTA+ this week.
GTA V and GTA Online are still available in Xbox Game Pass at the time of writing. Given it has been nearly 7 months since it was included in the service and typically it does not overlap with PS+, we could see it exit soon.
