GTA V and GTA Online are coming to PlayStation Plus this month for gamers who have an eligible tier. PlayStation announced on Wednesday the list of games that will be coming to their subscription service. Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online have come and gone from PS+ a few times but they are back later this month.
There are 18 titles coming to the various PlayStation Plus tiers with GTA V being the headline act. Topping the list on the blog post and taking the up the most space in the promotional image, GTA V is a big get for PS+. It is possible the reason why GTA V is re-entering PS+ is due to the GTA VI trailer.
When will PS+ get it?
The game is coming to subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on December 19th. What this entails is if you do not own the game digitally and you are signed up to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, you get the full game to download.
You can play this game as you own it until PlayStation/Rockstar remove it. This can be a few months or years, we do not know how long it lasts. PlayStation Plus Essential Members will not get access at all however.
The addition of GTA V and GTA Online in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog comes days after the brand new GTA Online update “Chop Shop“. Plus, GTA V was the 6th most downloaded game on PS5 in the USA and Canada last month. On both Xbox Series X|S and PS5, it was game with the third highest amount of monthly active players.
If you don’t own GTA V on PS5 digitally and want to check out GTA with its next gen features, this is a great time to do so with PlayStation+.
