Last night, Rockstar Games removed Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive edition indefinitely from PC, people are unable to purchase the game and players who have purchased it have had it removed from the Rockstar Launcher with no automatic refunds.
Rockstar Support confirmed the Trilogy had been removed due to unintentional files being added in the game but did not elaborate on what the files were.
The Rockstar Games Launcher is also back online with players requiring to update it to access any games on there, unfortunately, GTA Trilogy in now accessible even if you have purchased it. Rockstar Games have taken $60 off people and now taken the game off them with no proper communication.
A few days ago, a Twitter user revealed that music that had not been relicensed from the old versions of the game to the Definite editions were still in the files, locked and inaccessible to the average person, whilst another user know as Vadim has been revealing a lot more, including that files had been included with developer comments from back when the games were originally made by Rockstar North.
One thing is for sure, these 3 amazing games have been messed up massively by Rockstar Games now they’ve been remastered, lets hope they get fixed soon
If you would like to refund your game, you can go through Rockstars payment provider and request it, this will be a lot faster than going through Rockstar Support
