Rockstar Games have released a new mansion-based mission for GTA Online. Mansion Raid is an all-new adversary mode. You’ll be tasked to either infiltrate and steal from the vault of another player’s mansion or defend it. New security outfits can be worn and that’s got some fans confused to if they can unlock them to wear in GTA Online’s freeroam.
As part of the latest GTA Online Event Week dated January 15th through 21st, Mansion Raid was the headline act. It has a multi-stage design. It supports a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 8.
For this week only, Mansion Raid will be paying out double cash and RP. Plus, the first time you win a round of Mansion Raid, you will earn a one time bonus of GTA$200,000. This will be delivered to your Maze Bank account within 72 hours from completion.
Mission Details
As an attacker, Mansion Raid will take you into the grounds of a target’s mansion. Rockstar say “you’ll need to plant explosives to disable security measures. Going in loud is always an option, but moving from cover to cover provides a slightly safer route to the bomb sites.”
At the same time, the defending team (wearing the Eberhard Security Outfit) will be attempting to disable the armed charges. If the attackers successfully deploy the charges and disabling security measures, it will add 30 seconds to the clock.
Rockstar go on to say “After the bombs silence the mansion’s defenses, you’ll need to make your way into the vault on the lowest level. Familiarizing yourself with the floorplan can save your life, especially when mansion owners know these hallways like the back of their hand. Put your combat skills to use in close quarters by checking your corners and sweeping the threshold, but do it quickly: you’re on a very tight schedule and there’s no time to mess around.”
Upon stealing the gold from the vault, the attackers need to escape from the mansion whilst the building’s defenses are down.
How To Play Mansion Raid
To start up a Mansion Raid mission, open up the pause menu in GTA Online. Select the Online tab and scroll down to Adversary Mode. At the top of the list, you will see Mansion Raid. You can then select it and start the job.
Eberhard Security Outfit Confusion
Many GTA Online players want to unlock and wear the Eberhard Security Outfit that the defenders use in this mode. One fan posted on Twitter that Rockstar Support told them you’ll unlock the Eberhard Security Outfit by winning a full match of this mode and allow 72 hours for delivery.
However, dataminers have found no way to unlock the outfit. This suggests Rockstar Support is incorrect. We’ll be keep an eye on this developing situation.
