The new GTA Online update Bottom Dollar Bounties has just released and it contains content for a special zombie mode. Hidden within the game files, community members have been able to find and access parts of the Halloween event which will occur later this year.
Last year’s Halloween event was also partially spoiled as it was included in that year’s summer update too. Below will be spoilers for the upcoming Halloween event in GTA Online so proceed if you wish to learn more about it…
Location and mode
According to the files, this special zombie mode will take place in North Yankton, the location of GTA V’s story intro. That’s right, we’ll be playing in North Yankton rather than sunny San Andreas.
It also appears this new zombie mode will be somewhat like a survival job. The name is set to be called Ludendorff Cemetery Survival as it will take place in the Cemetery as seen in the GTA V story mode. Image via @Floorball__.
Take on wave after wave of undead in this brutal fight to keep at least one foot out of the grave.
Rockstar Games have since confirmed North Yankton and the Cemetery is coming to GTA Online in some form. In their recent Newswire post, they wrote “And look forward to more explosive gameplay and events, including Independence Day, a Halloween trip to North Yankton’s Ludendorff Cemetery”, confirming this upcoming content.
Twitter user @Hubfex published strings from the files relating to this survival mode:
- Ludendorff Cemetery Survival
- Survive 7 waves in Ludendorff Cemetery Survival.
- Take out each type of undead in Ludendorff Cemetery Survival.
- Survive 15 waves in Ludendorff Cemetery Survival.
- Enter ~a~~s~ to join Ludendorff Cemetery Survival or go on call to remain in Freemode until the mission is about to start
Zombies
Below are two of three zombie character models for the Halloween event. These were posted by @Lucas7yoshi_RS. On the right, we see a traditional looking zombie in a coat perfect for North Yankton conditions. The one of the left is quite a bit different to what you’d expect.

Animal Audio
A bunch of new Halloween themed audio files were added in the latest GTA Online update. The files have been found by @billsyliamgta. These sound effects are for animals such as wolves.
Creator Mode Props
The creator mode will also receive new props during Halloween much like last year. Some of the deathmatch props have been added to the game files of the summer update. Below is a picture of them found by @nkzGTA. They include a Zombie staff and a tomb. There are also two Ghost models: NYSP Officer and Dom. Whilst nkz lists them as creator props, these could be part of the ghost hunting event rather than creator mode.
Are you looking forward to Halloween in GTA Online this year? The past few have been pretty big in terms of events for GTA Online such as the UFOs and ghost hunting. We can’t wait to see how Rockstar Games pull all of this off.

One I ain’t impressed with this new DLC and I can name a bunch of things what is missing In this DLC is the modifications for our new business vechile there was no new weapons no new cop outfits not even owning a police station business rockstar has literally screwed all the fan base completely in this new DLC the file size for this DLC was over 2000 file size so technically we should of owned the police station business not something like this sorry rockstar but this new DLC we’re not impressed with this new summer DLC either fix this DLC what the player wanted or we leave GTA for good
