Rockstar Games have introduced a new perk to their monthly subscription service called GTA+. Anyone who has an active membership to the service can now play GTA Online without owning the game. This means you can pay as little as $7.99 / £6.99 / €7,99 a month for full access to GTA Online. Of course, that means you can enjoy all of the other GTA Online benefits part of GTA+ too.
With GTA+ being only available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC’s Enhanced version, you can only play GTA Online with this membership on Xbox Series X|S and PS5. This will still require an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription to play GTA Online.
“If you have yet to join the millions of GTA Online players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, now is the perfect time to experience its wealth of upgrades and improvements, and get a range of special GTA Online benefits, access to even more Rockstar Games titles in the GTA+ Games Library, and more with a GTA+ Membership. ” – Rockstar Games

GTA Online is the latest game to be playable as part of GTA+. The lineup contains Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, the GTA Trilogy and more. Most recently, GTA Vice City and GTA III for mobile were added to the service.
If you’d like to see what is included in GTA+ this month alongside access to GTA Online, check out our in-depth coverage here.
It will be interesting to see if Rockstar add Red Dead Online to the service in the future. Plus, how will GTA+ get integrated into GTA VI? We’ll have to wait and see. GTA+’s promo block was placed in the GTA 6 PS5 store listing the other day before being removed. It feels like that was a mistake and things were being prepared for today’s addition.
