Rockstar Games have published a new background GTA Online update following the launch of the Bottom Dollar Bounties content update. This summer’s major GTA Online DLC brought new content on day one and plenty of dripfeed plus tons of bug fixes.
Just like most game updates these days, a new one means new bugs. Some of these bugs have been able to be fixed by Rockstar in GTA Online’s backend rather than requiring a downloadable patch. This means they’ve fixed them within days rather than weeks.
A great change as part of this update is the improved Dispatch Work rotation. Rockstar have also patched early access to dripfeed content such as the Stun Rod and Ludendorff Cemetery Survivals. We’ve got all of the dripfeed content covered for you here.
Patch Notes
Rockstar insider Tez2 has shared with us the list of fixes part of the latest background update. You can find the fill background update changelog below:
- Enhances the variety of Dispatch Work by disabling the variant you launch, enabling you to explore new mission types.
- Fixes an issue where players don’t receive loot from paintings if they collected the safe cash first during the Cayo Perico Heist.
- Fixes an issue with tattoos overlapping between characters upon switching.
- Fixes an issue with the delivery cutscene of bike shop deliveries showing the Hermes instead of the customer’s bike.
- Fixes an issue with incorrect positioning of the Bail Office entrances/blue markers.
- Patches a glitch that allowed players to unlock the Stun Rod (The Shocker) early through modded jobs.
- Patches player-created Ludendorff Cemetery Survivals that enabled early access to drip-feed content.
- Patches the workaround for clothing glitches that merged both masks and helmets/hats, such as the Telescope glitch.
- Patches a workaround for an Avenger Vehicle God Mode glitch.
UPDATE July 4th:
Tez2 has reported another large background update has been made to GTA Online by Rockstar Games. The change log can be viewed below:
- Disables weapon components for weapons available as pickups in Deathmatches to prevent early access to drip-feed content.
- Fixes CCTV camera issues in heists such as players being detected despite wearing disguises.
- Fixes an issue in the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid – Disorganized Crime setup where no key cards or rewards are found after drilling the lockers.
- Fixes an issue in the Union Depository Contract’s Planning Work: Elevator Key setup where players cannot stash the Baller LE in a secluded area.
- Fixes an issue where docking the Sparrow at an office helipad results in a duplicate remaining on the helipad.
- Fixes an issue where unique tattoos disappear upon switching sessions. (Rockstar removed the previous fix for the tattoos overlapping between characters. This is likely unintentional, as the two fixes should resolve the tattoo bugs.)
- Patches the new workaround for the Agency God Mode glitch.

I’d rather them patch whatever is causing the crashing and lagging and infinite loading screens that I’ve been experiencing since last Tuesday. It only took a day or two of the game crashing or freezing during finales/jobs and then telling me I’m being a bad sport by leaving those jobs early to get me to stop playing completely while they fix it
It doesn’t really matter what updates there are when, like me, you no longer have access to the game. I was a GTA+ member and have bought shark cards in the past as well as purchasing the game for PS4, which I no longer have. Now it has been removed from PS+ and as I no longer have a disc version, I cannot access the game anymore. I would have to buy it again. There is no way in hell, after everything I have already pumped into that game that I am paying for it AGAIN!
Rockstar is just like insurance companies out for money and terrible customer service with same bad result…. Consumer gets screwed. I’ll lspdfr. That’s as far as the support I’ll give rockstar.
