GTA 6 is going to be a video game that does something never before seen in the history of human entertainment. That’s according to Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick. He has talked GTA 6 once again sharing how he is feeling and viewing it having overseen the game’s development from the business side.
This interview was conducted by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier who has been the one to leak many things about GTA 6 over the past several years. Let’s take a look at the most interesting quotes from Zelnick’s interview with Schreier that took place last week during the iicon event in Las Vegas.
The CEO tells the journalist Rockstar Games’ and Take-Two’s ambition is to “deliver to consumers something that’s never been experienced before”. This lofty goal, something he is looking to do from the business side of things is “very exciting and terrifying. Because the expectations are so high.”
Based on the numbers from GTA VI’s trailer and social posts, the game will take ownership of several records when it releases this November. The anticipation for Rockstar’s first game in 8 years is the highest for any singular piece of entertainment. It feels almost impossible for GTA VI to not be the fastest selling game of all time.

During the same interview with Bloomberg, Zelnick was quizzed on if GTA VI will come to PC. He was also pressed on the choice to make it console only at launch on November 19th. Learn more here.
The quotes above from Zelnick are not the only interesting things he has said in the past week. During the same event, the CEO doubled down on what he calls an “astonishing” marketing cycle that will be beginning “soon”.
He also addressed pricing concerns after much talk on a $100 cost for the game. It feels like no matter the price of the game, it will break records in a way that may never be broken again. Additionally, the CEO even hinted at a future for another one of Rockstar’s franchises. We’re inching closer to pre-orders opening for GTA VI so stay tuned…
