Gordon Hall, the man who founded Rockstar Leeds in 1997 has sadly passed away at 51 years of age.
The news was first reported by GamesIndustry. Hall founded Rockstar Leeds back when it was called Mรถbius Entertainment Limited and created games such as Barbie Horse Adventures, Bionicle, and Max Payne until it was acquired by Rockstar Games in 2004.
Gordon Hall was also in charge of the development of GTA Chinatown Wars, as well as GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories. Gordon then went and helped on Red Dead Redemption back in 2009 at R* San Diego, L.A. Noire and other games.
in 2012, Gordon Hall then left Rockstar and Joined Activision Leeds as Chief creative Officer which was renamed The Blast Furnace to superhead mobile games development.
No cause of death has been released as of yet, and our thoughts go out to Hall’s Family and everyone that knew him.
