Just a few days ago, it was revealed that Smokin Jβs BBQ and Las Vegas Fashion Brand boyworldwide have once again come together to open up a pop up Burger Shot & Cluckin’ Bell at this years Comic Con San Diego.
The team, had a similar idea last year, where fans of the Grand Theft Auto Series were surprised with a Cluckin’ Bell Chicken Restaurant at Comic Con 2022. After huge success the team decided to expand to include a Burger Shot Restaurant.
Both Burger Shot and Cluckin’ Bell have been featured in the Grand Theft Auto Series from the very early days of the series, with Burger Shot first appearing in Vice City, and Cluckin’ Bell first appearing in San Andreas.

But, this will no longer be going ahead. As last night, Take-Two Interactive, the parent organisation of Rockstar Games have sent a Cease and Desist to Smokin J’s BBQ telling them to end all operations of it.
In an email sent to RockstarINTEL by Smokin J’s BBQ, they have said:
‘Last Night, we received a cease and desist letter from the law firm representing Take-Two Interactive. In response, we have been forced to scrap the Burger Shot event that was planned for this weekend. (At Comic Con) We are still doing a Cluckin’ Bell type installation next weekend, however it is now going to be a spoof installation branded as Dont Cluckin Tell.

Its a shame to see Take-Two Interactive take action against another fun community project. Especially something for a Comic Con event which will draw in thousands of people from around the world.
