Rockstar Games have released a new background update for GTA Online to resolve issues introduced in the Money Fronts update back in June. We saw a few background updates in the days and weeks after Money Fronts released but more have continued to come out from the company. Rockstar Games have removed the Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App from mobile app stores. As of Friday August 29th 2025, the app was removed from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by Rockstar Games. This has added fuel onto the rumours of a new next-gen version of the game. For those unaware, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App was launched alongside the game in 2018. Rockstar Games have announced they have ended support for GTA IV from Games for Windows Live within their own launcher for saves. Back when GTA 4 released on PC, players purchased it with Games for Windows Live, a service that was shut down many years ago.
