Its been no secret that Politicians around the world will do all they can to blame the Grand Theft Auto Series on real-world problems that have been going on since before the series existed, A month ago, Illinois Politicians blamed the Series for an increase in Carjacking, now an Australian Politician is blaming it on men’s Behavior.
Peter Dutton, The Liberal Party Politician currently serving as Minister of Home Affairs was interviewed on the Today Show AUS, during the interview he brought up about teenage boys and teaching them the right values and respect towards women.
Dutton also mentioned about the lack of filtered content on Social Media and suggesting the same laws in real life should be applied to the Internet and then bringing up Tiktok as an example, going onto Grand Theft Auto, he then said:
‘If you’re playing Grand Theft Auto, as a 13-year-old boy, in that game, not just, you know, drive cars recklessly, you can go for a lap dance, you can go and shoot police and so we need to have a broader conversation about the influences on those young boys, both in a family setting and a societal setting, and particularly online.’
