Known GTA hater and accused fake gamer Elon Musk agrees GTA 6 could be made almost instantly with AI. We’ll be taking a look at why this is simply stupid from someone who so many people seem to think is a genius.
A CEO of some AI company you won’t care about Tweeted a few days ago “There’s definitely a non-zero chance we get “generate your own GTA 6 in a few minutes” before GTA 6″. Sure… to which Musk responded with “Yeah.” A lot of Twitter Blue-paying bots or cult-like AI bros can be found in the replies falling in line with agreement. A couple of people with common sense disagreed.
The agreement from Musk drew the attention of a Twitter account called GTAVI_Countdown who decided to post about it. For some reason, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney responded to it? He claims “We have text-to-image and text-to-video, so text-to-GTA is the next logical step in generative AI.” How’d you like people playing an AI-generated Fortnite and not the one you created to make money Tim?
Elon Musk saw Sweeney’s Tweet and gave us such an incredible insight into how the world is going to go. The man claims “You won’t even have to ask. AI will figure what video game you’d like best.” Elon certainly won’t make a GTA AI game because he does not like killing cops in video games. It’s too much for him.
Elon Isn’t Good With Predictions
Let me remind you that over 10 years ago Elon said you should be able to summon your Tesla “anywhere connected by land” such as from NY when you’re in LA by 2018. It’s 2026 and still not possible. He also said in 2011 he’ll put a man on Mars in 10 years. That deadline expired 5 years ago. These are just a couple of the many statements he’s made that have been simply overpromise and a lack of delivery.
A more recent claim this guy has made is his xAI company will “release a great AI-generated game” before the end of 2026. So let’s see what happens in the next 11 months. WIll xAI put out an actually great gen-AI game? I don’t think many people bar the self-described Tesla cultists will think, if anything comes out, will be great.
The AI That People Think Could Make GTA 6
Over the past few weeks, xAI’s Grok has been the centre of multiple related controversies. It has been used to generate a large volume of nonconsensual sexual deepfakes. As reported by The Verge, a charity that helps remove child sexual abuse material said such content was created by Grok.
Governments such as the UK’s have publicly called on the company to fix it and have considered banning the entire social media platform. Malaysia and Indonesia have already placed a block on the AI.
The company tried twice to reduce Grok being used for such abhorrent content. Much of the media reported these attempts were successful. No, no they were not. The Verge reports how easy it is to still do such things and how has seemingly Musk has lied.
GTA Boss Disagrees
Elon does not have experience running a games company nor making a game on a skilled level. So how about we hear from the man who has run one of the most successful video game publishers in the world for many years and the parent company of Rockstar? As Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has already shutdown AI making games.
The CEO said a couple of months ago that “I think that if you said create a graphic image with AI that looks just as good as an image in a professional piece of entertainment, sure. But can you put it all together and create a massive hit? Probably not.”
Earlier in 2025, Zelnick told CNBC that “The tools might be digital but the creative genius is human.” No system, trained on allegedly stolen material, can replicate or better what Rockstar or other artists have done in the games space.

Hopefully “Bleeter” makes a return to GTA so we can say “it sure is even muskier on this site”
