UFOs have been spotted by residents of Southern San Andreas! In this Weazel News report, we will take a look at the details of this special event featuring UFOs in GTA Online. This includes all of the UFO locations (on the day they appear) and the rewards for finding them.
It is not the first time UFOs have descended onto the land of Blaine County and streets of Los Santos. In the past few years during Halloween, residents experienced freak weather and UFOs hanging over their heads.
How To And Rewards
Every day from October 14th, a new UFO or few will appear on the map. The location will change each day but the time will remain the same for the first part of the event: between 10pm and 4am in-game time. Once the Halloween weather is activated, they will appear between 7:30pm and 6:30am in-game time. There will be a total of 26 UFOs to photograph over the next few weeks.
Simply find a UFO and go near it but not too close. If you take a photo of a UFO using Snapmatic, you’ll be able to send it to Omega on your iFruit phone. The option will appear when you’ve taken a photo within range.
You will earn some GTA$ and RP for each photo. $15,000 and 1000RP for a standard UFO and Stealth UFOs are rarer so they’ll net you $50,000 and 1000RP. If you capture every unique UFO, you will unlock special, bonus rewards! These are the UFO Boxer Shorts and “???” tee and Glow Believe Cap at the end of October.
The melee stun rod weapon called the The Shocker can also be earned through doing this. Last year, it was added to the game and was unlocked through completing a series of tasks in the secret Fort Zancudo lab. It will be unlockable the same way again this year. Learn how to do it here.
New for this year will be the Grey Space Interloper Outfit. This will be given out to those who partake in capturing the UFOs for the first time this year or in previous years. Below is a photo of it from the datamining of the Money Fronts update dripfeed via Tez2.
October 14th
The first location was at Paleto Bay which you can see here. Stay safe and stay tuned for further sightings each day in GTA Online.
October 15th
Residents up north have seen a UFO above the Pacific ocean which you can check out here. Don’t jump into the water to try get close to the ET object… Air vehicles also have been reported to have issues when nearby a UFO.
October 16th
The third UFO appeared on the top of Mount Chiliad as reported by hikers scaling the region.
October 17th
East side residents in El Gordo have seen a UFO directly above the lighthouse! (This location will not repeat.)
October 18th
Located near the Altruist Camp, cult members have sent in claims of a UFO in the area.
October 19th
Extra terrestrial enthusiasts and hippies gathered at the “Beam Me Up” installation east of Sandy Shores where a UFO has arrived!
October 20th
Locals near the Satellite Relay Station in the Grand Senora Desert have spotted a UFO! This one will not repeat.
October 21st
Travellers spotted a UFO at Fort Zancudo.
October 22nd
There has actually been two UFO sightings, a first for this month! You can find the regular looking UFO in Harmony, Grand Senora Desert. The special UFO will spawn near Fort Zancudo and grant you 1000RP and a bonus $50,000 reward.
October 23rd
Inmates at the Bolingbroke Penitentiary spotted a UFO!
October 24th
A farmer just outside of Vinewood Hills saw a UFO above his property!
October 25th
Workers at the Palmer-Taylor Power Station experienced a late night shock when a UFO was just above them!
October 26th
Reports have come in at few places tonight; it appears UFO activity is increasing around Paleto and the ocean again.
October 27th
Three UFOs can be spotted around the map. From Fort Zancudo, to a farm and the Altruists camp, you can snap pics of UFOs there.
October 28th
Three UFOs are visible from the east, in and around the GTA Online power station!
October 29th
At least FIVE UFOs have been spotted on the outskirts of Los Santos! These are the the closest sightings to the city so far.
October 30th
Over a dozen UFOs have arrived above the streets of Los Santos! Whilst local authorities have sent out warnings NOT to get close to the UFOs and stay inside, some people have gone missing. UFOs would disappear if anyone or a vehicle got close to it but that is not the case anymore.
Abductions are happening. If you get beamed up you will walk away with a UFO Boxer Shorts. If you have screenshotted all previous UFOs and all of these new ones you unlock the variants of the Believe Cap including a glowing version.
There’s also a 50% chance you get access to a secret bunker upon abduction to solve the puzzle and earn the stun baton and new Gray Space Interloper Outfit. Here’s a helpful guide on how to do it.
