GTA Online’s HVY Nightshark is massive vehicle and the people behind its real life inspiration are now making an actual 1 to 1 HVY Nightshark driveable replica.
Back in 2017, Rockstar Games added the HVY Nightshark into the game with the Gunrunning update. The vehicle is based on the Black Shark SUV by Dartz Motorz. Now Dartz has flipped things around again
The Latvian-based car manufacturer is best known for celebrity clients such as Jay-Z, Kanye West and Hollywood films but now a confidential client has ordered them to make the HVY Nightshark IRL. In a press release sent to RockstarINTEL, Dartz say a private entity has paid $1,000,000 for this vehicle. It will be unveiled in Miami during November 2026. Just in time for GTA 6’s release.
“The completed vehicle is being prepared for its first official public presentation in Miami during the release week of Grand Theft Auto VI. The precise DARTZ presentation date and location will be announced separately.”
The car is currently at the end of production with the final polishing stages taking place hence the lack of photos. Until November, the complete exterior, final name, technical specification, special interior objects and identity of the commissioning entity will remain protected. To be clear, this is not a fan replica or prop, it is an independently commissioned vehicle that can be driven properly.
Dartz Founder Leonard F. Yankelovich says that they accepted Rockstar’s HVY Nightshark “as a “as a compliment. Now the compliment has returned to Riga with a seven-figure budget.” He went onto say “The game had unlimited lives. Our customer ordered only one car, so we are making it correctly.”
For the release of GTA V, Rockstar Games commissioned West Coast Customs to make a real life Bravado Banshee. A 56-year-old woman won it and sold it. Learn more here.
