A few days after Rockstar Games announced yet another GTA 6 delay, the company have updated the two trailers for the game to have the new release date. Banners across Rockstar’s social media channels have also been given the same treatment.
Every single header image be it on Rockstar’s Twitter account, YouTube channel and more have seen changes in the past few days. The headers featured the Trailer 2 artwork of Lucia and Jason and the GTA VI logo with May 26th 2026 text. Now they say November 19th 2026.
As for the trailers, the release date change was made to the two GTA VI trailers you can download on Rockstar’s own site. Twitter user @mnm345x was first to spot this. As you can see from the image below, November 19, 2026 is now visible below the GTA VI logo at the end of the two trailers.

There has been some speculation from fans that this means a third trailer is coming fairly soon but that is pure speculation. When Trailer 2 came out and Trailer 1 was uploaded to Rockstar’s website for download, that was updated with the May 26, 2026 text as seen in the second trailer. It previously said Coming 2025.
Changes Elsewhere?
At this moment in time, Rockstar have not requested Google to let them change it on their YouTube videos. Whilst almost every user cannot replace a video, YouTube do allow for a small selection of companies to change videos without losing all of the views, likes and comments.
For example, the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Official Trailer was changed by EA to display a new release date following a 6 week delay. PlayStation also did the same thing with other titles. It is very rare but it can happen.

Continues To Break Records
This change to the trailers comes just as Trailer 1 broke a new record. As of Monday, it became the most viewed trailer ever on YouTube. In less than 2 years, it has achieved nearly 269 million views on Google’s video platform. The previous record holder was Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Trailer which with sits a few thousand less views now. That came out just under 8 years ago.
