Rockstar Games are hiring for FiveM as it’s continues support for the GTA RP service. In August Rockstar Games purchased VFX.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM to much fanfare.
More recently we learned from the acquired group what Rockstar has helped them with so far and the future of the platform.
Rockstar now hire for mods
In a further development to the integration, job listings for FiveM appeared on Rockstar’s official website during Friday. These were spotted by Videotechx on Twitter.
Seeing jobs for a GTA Online mod platform on Rockstar Games’ website is quite a stark contrast to what we usually have. Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, have become more aggressive towards modders within the community. They have resulted to suing fans who tried to reverse engineer classic games.
At the time of writing, Rockstar’s London office are offering 3 FiveM positions. These is a Product Manager and Software Engineers for C# and C++.
The product manager job listing states:
Rockstar Games is seeking experienced product management professionals to help define the future of the Cfx.re creator platforms, including FiveM and RedM. As a member of our team, you will need a critical and creative eye capable of putting forth innovative solutions to complex problems. Working with a wide variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders, you will be tasked with cultivating and executing on a vision for the platform.
