Rockstar Games released a new update for the Rockstar Games Launcher yesterday that further sets up Discord’s Rich Presence across their titles and additional upgrades. From support for the brand new PC version to FiveM itself, we’ll take a look at what this means.
Last week we talked about an update made to GTA Online and how it included Discord integration. Insider Tez2 spotted that Rockstar had implemented Discord’s Rich Presence system into GTA V but it would require being enabled through a Rockstar Games Launcher update.
Rockstar subsequently put out a new update for their launcher yesterday. This sparked speculation from fans that Discord’s Rich Presence would now work. Not quite. Patch notes were shared by the company on their support site but they were quite vague:
- Improvements have been made to the sign in and out flow of the Rockstar Games Launcher
- Improvements have been made to the Rockstar Games Launcher

Discord Integration
Whilst there was no mention of Discord integration in the patch notes much like the PC game update, Tez did find more tidbits. Discord usage is not enabled yet (likely will on March 4th) but Tez was able to find more titles that will get Discord’s Rich Presence. This means once enabled, people will be able to see what you’re doing in that game and potentially join the same lobby/session etc. Below are all of the titles getting Discord integration:
- GTA V Enhanced PC (New version)
- GTA V Legacy PC (Old version)
- GTA Trilogy The Definitive Edition
- Red Dead Redemption
- Red Dead Redemption 2
Earlier this month, Rockstar Games made their own Discord server public. It has several Looking For Group channels with heists and such. You’ll likely be 1 button press away from joining GTA Online players.
Despite being made years ago and prepped months ago, Rockstar have only just started letting fans in. This coincides with their new Discord integration. Learn more about the chaotic start to the Rockstar Games Discord server here.
FiveM And Game Pass Support?

Also included in the most recent Rockstar Games Launcher update was support for more titles and versions. Found by Tez2, the Rockstar Games Launcher supports these titles and versions:
- GTA V Enhanced PC (New version)
- Cfx/FiveM Integration
- GTA+ subscription
- Xbox App for GTA V (PC Game Pass)
Previously, we reported how Tez2 uncovered various other strings relating to GTA V for PC coming to Xbox’s PC Game Pass. This new update seemingly means it will happen in the near future. Tez said on social media “Rockstar plans to feature V on PC Game Pass, and you’ll be able to launch it from the Xbox App.”
As for the FiveM part, Tez says it is not proper integration but “if R* features a FiveM or RedM server in the future, you’ll be able to connect to that server, as RGL links up with either FiveM or RedM client.”
