Rockstar Games have held talks with some of the biggest Fortnite and Roblox creators for GTA 6 according to a new report. As we’ve known for some time, Rockstar Games have been working on a creator platform following their acquisition of the team and technology behind FiveM.
This sort of news won’t come as a surprise to those who’ve been keeping up to date with GTA 6 news then. That said, there are some interesting new details to take a look at and helps fill the void of no official news from Rockstar themselves. It has been over a year since Trailer 1 but Rockstar’s parent company is still insisting the game will launch in Fall 2025.
A New Era
In a new report, Digiday claim they’ve spoken to a few people close to Rockstar Games’ plans for GTA 6. According to the outlet, these individual sources claim Rockstar have been speaking with GTA, Fortnite and Roblox content creators. The reason for this is to make custom games inside of the upcoming GTA VI.
As you may know, FiveM has allowed anyone to create their own servers and modes that the base version of GTA Online cannot do. A whole economy has spawned from this with 100,000s of people turning into GTA RP livestreams daily. It was reported last year Rockstar were working on what could be considered as the next iteration of FiveM but it would also come to consoles.

What Rockstar has reportedly told these creators is that they’d be able to change GTA 6’s assets to make their own custom levels and such. You could imagine seeing their branding on the server with even their sponsors just like FiveM. According to the sources, discussions have been “relatively open-ended”.
What’s Next?
GTA Online 2 or whatever it is called is shaping up to be quite a game changer. Whilst Roblox, Minecraft and Fortnite target a younger demographic, GTA 6 does not appeal to the same group. Will Rockstar be able to pull it off? We’ll find out later this year.
In other GTA VI news, Corsair CEO Andy Paul claimed the game will come to PC in early 2026. Meanwhile the CEO of Take-Two shut down concerns of AI and violence from GTA VI. The game is still targeting a Fall 2025 release and that helped surge the stock price of Take-Two.
