Whilst many people know GTA 6 Trailer 2 features gameplay, there has been some doubters of the footage due to how impressive it is. In an unexpected social post on Wednesday, Rockstar Games decided to make a clear statement to those on the side that Rockstar are not showing the true game.
If you’re a fan of Rockstar Games, you probably know that they never use pre-rendered footage in their game trailers. Be it GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2 or beyond, what you see is what you get in the final game. Aside from actual improvements of course (such as in Red Dead 2’s case).
They show cutscenes that are from the final game just years in advance. They are confident in their work and have nothing to hide. However, some people are still skeptical GTA VI is the real deal.
Taking On Accusations
Rockstar took to Twitter on Wednesday night saying “Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.” We already pointed out when Trailer 2 dropped that Rockstar put a note the entire trailer was recorded on PS5. It is also the base PS5. Not the PS5 Pro. This is the way most people will be playing the game.

Why is this surprising to people? Red Dead Redemption 2 did things few could match on PS4 and Xbox One. Same goes for GTA V on Xbox 360 and PS4 with just 512mb of RAM. Rockstar push what is possible with console hardware. They always have and always will.
The company also made it clear the trailer is made up of both in-game cutscenes we’ll see in story mode and actual gameplay. They even added it is an equal mix of cutscenes and gameplay.
We can even see an example of actual gameplay at 0:24 seconds into the trailer, as shown below. The shot of Jason opening the door is a transition to gameplay. This is much like we’ve seen in Red Dead 2 and GTA V. This is the real deal.

If you’re looking for more video footage of GTA VI, Rockstar shared several clips including some at 60FPS. You can watch them all here. You can also re-watch the trailer here. What do you think about this trailer? Let us know down in the comments section below.
