The new PS4 version which also runs on PS5 has received significant backlash over its lack of new features. Many fans wanted a remake and 60FPS but instead the game is basically the original game unchanged except for a few settings and such.

As the game was not available for pre-order, it takes into account people wish listing and searching for the game. Red Dead Redemption does feature in the Nintendo Switch eshop charts in 15th place on launch day. It will be interesting to see how the audience on Nintendo’s platform reacts to this game releasing on their system.

Despite Red Dead Redemption’s re-release not coming to Xbox consoles, fans are flocking to purchase it. The game runs at 4K via backwards compatibility so Xbox players are easily able to play the game; they have been able to do so for a few years now. The game was trending today as one of the most purchased games.
