A modder has created a Red Dead Redemption 2 mod that sees a whole new level of interactivity in streams. It will allow viewers to effect what happens inside of the Red Dead 2 game they are watching. What has been created really will make viewers interactive with the game like never before.
Feature Explained
On Twitch, there is a feature called Hype Train. This is when there is an increase in subscriptions and donations via bits. There is an animated popup that shows progress and how well the streamer is doing. Anyone who participates earns an emote to use in the chat. That’s all great and on the website/app itself. What about in-game? In-game hype trains!
A developer known as Blurbs posted a video to Twitter showing off his latest creation that uses Red Dead 2 and a the Twitch Hype Train feature. Blurbs made a mod that will spawn a train in the streamer’s Red Dead Redemption 2 game when a hype train is activated by their viewers. This will for sure lead to some funny moments based on the initial video of it in action by the developer.
When the Hype Train hits 100%, a train is spawned directly into Blurb’s path as he rides on a horse. and cart. It forces him off the horse as it flies mid-air. When he’s directly in the line of fire, the train does indeed run him over and kill him in-game. If fans would like to cause mayhem in a streamer’s game, this is what they could do. Even in an important part of the story.
Blurb’s Tweet has garnered over 10,000 likes and a lot of replies from fellow streamers and viewers alike. It seems like a hit and if it is released publicly, we could be in for some great live Red Dead moments.
A few days prior, Blurbs shared another one of his creations. It is a mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 which makes every NPC always drunk. You can watch a video of that here.
Whilst Rockstar Games’ western masterpiece is nearly 6 years old, it is still played by new people every day including on live streams. A recent, popular example of this is Kai Cenat’s Red Redemption 2 playthrough.
He dressed up like a cowboy and setup a saloon and cacti in his room. Rockstar enjoyed these streams so much they invited him to meet them recently. His reaction was unmatched.
In other Red Dead Redemption news, the original game will finally release for PC on Tuesday 29th October. Sales of Red Dead Redemption 2 also slowed down last month but a new Red Dead Online Event Month has kicked off.
