Yup, you read the title correctly, Rockstar Games has officially confirmed on the Newswire that Red Dead Online wont be receiving any more updates.
One of the reasons for this is due to Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar said, saying more resources are now having to be focused on the new entry in the Grand Theft Auto Series.
Rockstar thanked fans for their dedicated support to the game. Alongside this, R* also said how they are changing how they do other stuff in Red Dead Online.
Monthly events will stay, with R* saying past updates will be featured in these updates. Seasonal events will also remain in the game and experience improvements.
Current modes will be built and improved in the game, and new Telegram Missions will be added later this year. They will also be showcasing creative ideas from the community.
Although this isn’t the answer anyone wanted, a lot of the Red Dead Community are just relieved they have finally been answered.
