A pre-release version of GTA Vice City has been leaked. In turn, fans who have downloaded the unfinished build of the game have shared some very interesting details and changes about it.
First shared on socials by Rockstar Games enthusiast Vadim M., a user on the GTA Forums shared a download link to this pre-launch version of Grand Theft Auto Vice City. According to Vadim, the build is for the PS2 dated 2nd October 2002, just under a month from release. Even though it is so close to the launch of the game, there are some notable changes and inclusions which will still be fun for fanatics.
Comparison To Final Game
The original link on the forums was posted by a user called IAmNotToniCipriani. A few fans were quick to snag it and have begun reporting their findings by emulating the game on PC. GTA Forums user Sergiu shared that there is a debug menu left in that developers would use which could be fun for those who want to mess about. It has features like showing hardware usage or numbers of objects.
In terms of differences to the final game, it has some car models, wheels and more from the beta version of the game. Plus there are several different character models (e.g. SWAT), a different mix for the theme music track, intro and cutscene camera angles and animations. This is also said to be the preview build made for Game Spot.

More Leaks
This is yet another leaked pre-release build of a GTA game in the past few weeks. Rockstar’s PSP title Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories also had a few much earlier builds of the final game leaked on the GTA Forums just last month. Fans were quick to notice a lot of reused GTA Vice City assets as placeholders among earlier designs for vehicles. You can learn more about those and their differences to the final game here.
There’s also some new music for the credits and such. Even the HUD which is in view most of the time had a thicker black outline around the text. Some of the users who have played these beta builds have begun uploading gameplay to YouTube.

Lmao lies my 7900xtx looks better than that 🤣 and runs more fps and the color is unbalanced like the brightness in this pic
TAA is trash and it’s lazy. There are way better Anti Ailiasing processes that look worlds better. The problem isthey take longer to implement. Which costs more money so game developers don’t care to implement them. It’s really sad and gamers suffer because of it.
