In todays update, as part of Rockstar Games rebalancing of the in game economy, Payphone Hits and Security Contracts have been reduced dramatically in payouts.
Payphone Hits

Payouts for Payphone hits has been reduced by quite a lot. Now only paying $50,000 per hit, reduced from $85,000. You’ll receive $15,000 for completing the mission and $35,000 for completing the Assassination bonus.
During 1.5X GTA$ & RP, players would earn $127,500, this is now reduced to $75,000.
During 2X GTA$ & RP, players would earn $170,000 per hit, this has now been reduced to $100,000.
Security Contracts

Security Contracts have also been reduced in pay, as seen above, a vehicle recovery mission on level ‘Specialist plus’ only pays $31,000. Rescue operations on ‘Professional’ level pays less than $17,000.
