Rockstar Games have released a new background patch for GTA Online. This comes two weeks after a downloadable update was pushed out to resolve a number of bugs. Rockstar took aim at a few exploits on Wednesday ahead of the upcoming Valentine’s Event Week.
GTA+ members using the The Vinewood Club App for Cayo runs will be unhappy with this patch. Meanwhile Production Boosts are back to working for mansion owners. We’ll have the full patch notes further down.
For those unaware, background updates fix issues without need to download an update. It is all handled server side. The next time you play GTA Online, the below changes will have been made. Rockstar have put out over half a dozen updates since the launch of the A Safehouse in the Hills update showing the company are being proactive.
Patch Notes

The recent background update details from February 11th come from the ever reliable community insider Tex2. He shared patch notes of the background update on Twitter. Below are all of the known changes:
- The Vinewood Club App is now disabled during the “Cayo Perico – Gather Intel” prep mission
- Fixed an issue where players who owned only one business were unable to apply the Mansion Production Boost again
- Fixed an issue where Map Blip options disrupted the Firefighter, Forklift Operator, and Paper Route Odd Jobs
- Fixed an issue where earning Gold Medals in all Flight School Lessons did not unlock the Flying Ace trophy
- Patches “DMO Car Dupe” glitch
- Patches “Nightclub Vehicle God Mode” glitch
